I hid behind the wall in the gyms aerobics room while I presented some information about the core muscles, to personal trainers. It was 2004.

One of my then current clients walked past and I almost died of embarrassment because she saw me in the room presenting.

Afterwards, at our next session she asked me something that changed the trajectory of my business forever.

“Can you come and do something like what you were doing in that room for my workplace?”, she asked…

I never set out to work in corporate health—it kind of just happened.

That one seminar that I did do in her workplace turned into something bigger. The people in the company loved it and asked for it to continue..

Suddenly, I found myself running corporate wellness programs that went from showing up once to 6 week programs and then in this case, that turning into showing up weekly for that particular office for over 12 months.

💪💪

I have to mention… These weren’t exercise sessions. Yes they included a few movements, but the majority of the session was health and life hacks, based on where they were currently..

I realized that there was a massive untapped market for personal trainers in the corporate world.

These companies weren’t just looking for bootcamps or fitness classes—they needed practical, no-BS strategies that their employees could actually implement to feel and perform better.

That’s when it clicked: many coaches with an entrepreneurial mindset, have so much more to offer than they sometimes realize, and corporate health is one of the fastest ways to grow a sustainable business beyond 1:1’s or small group coaching.

Utilising their contacts is the real, untapped, ‘way in’… in a systemised but also a completely organic non salesly way.

You get straight in the door and bypass the financial gate keepers and usual decision makers, (where the budget REALLY matters and you are competing with all the other standard ‘corporate health companies’).

A word of advice if you try this;

Make sure you do it without becoming a bootcamp/group exercise corporate health trainer movement coach.

This holds little credibility (compared to information sharing/transforming), rather than just getting their blood pumping.

The difference to the bottom line is being paid $10 per person to $500/per head of those who attend (in a year long program for example), and upwards, as these are conservative figures.

🎤🎤 Comment below or message me and I’ll send you my podcast episodes on free seminars that lead to corporate health gigs.

(Pic: From a recent event I ran, which was inspired by a friend who was on the panel who runs a very successful Ecom business. It was so she could take take the stage, without needing to be the ‘expert’ all by her lonesome, instead she got to talk on a panel so she could easily share her knowledge…)

😍🤩

Gosh I love face to face events. Australia look out more panels like this coming – the next ones will be for service providers, specifically in the health and wellness space.
